Dr. Randall Ehrlich, MD
Orthopedic Surgeon, Sports Medicine Specialist
Randall V. Ehrlich, M.D. is a board-certified Orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, arthroscopy, and reconstruction of the shoulder and knee. He received his undergraduate degree at Cornell University and attended medical school at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed his Orthopaedic surgery residency at the Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center and followed this with a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at NYU / The Hospital for Joint Diseases. In addition to practicing medicine, Dr. Ehrlich is an instrument-rated pilot and an avid competitor in multi-sport events. He has finished six New York City Marathons as well as over 60 triathlons, including the Ironman.
Andrew brings more than 25 years experience in working with athletes of all ages and skill levels to the Sports Performance Lab.
Andrew is a former three time New Jersey Competitive Powerlifting Champion, and holds collegiate records in Squat, Deadlift, and Overall Pound Total. He is also a former East Coast Bench Press Champion, and also came in fourth place in the National Collegiate Powerlifting Championships.
Andrew holds training certificates with the National Academy of Sports Medicine, the International Sports Sciences Association, the World Instructor Training School, and the American Council on Exercise.
Christine Scarano Ward Doctor of Physical Therapy

As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Christine Scarano Ward brings more than 16 years of clinical rehabilitation experience to the Sports Performance Lab.
Christine has worked extensively with professional and amateur athletes of all sports throughout her career. She is a Certified Kinesio Taping Instructor, a Certified Level One Sports Performance Coach for the USA Weightlifting Association, and is trained in Instrument Assisted Manual Therapies including Hawkgrip tools and cupping, and Concussion Management and Rehabilitation.
From 2012-2015, Christine organized and directed the Recovery Tent at the New Jersey Marathon and has participated in post race and event recovery for other competitive extreme obstacle races and triathlon events. She is also a member of the Wellness team for the U.S. Open Golf Championships.
Christine continues to be active in yoga, surfing, snowboarding, marathon, triathlon, and other competitive events as a participant, coach, and clinician. In 2016, she competed in the Transplant Games in Cleveland, Ohio and will complete again in the New Jersey games in 2020.
Christine earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Exercise Science and Sport Studies from Rutgers University in 1994, a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2002, and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from UMDNJ in 2004. She is currently licensed to practice in New Jersey, California, and Hawaii.
Eric Madia Head Strength & Conditioning

As Head of Strength & Conditioning, Eric Madia brings extensive experience in training amateur and professional athletes to the Sports Performance Lab.
Prior to working at The Sports Performance Lab, Eric was as a Strength & Conditioning Coach at Prentiss Human Performance, where he worked with high-level prep school, college, and professional athletes. During his time there, he had the privilege of working with and analyzing the performance of the New York Rangers’ top prospects.
Prior to this, Eric was a Sports Performance Coach at Impact Performance in Buffalo, NY. There, Eric worked with numerous teams and athletes, most notably the Buffalo Jr. Sabres organization. He had the honor of working the 2018 NHL Scouting Combine and the 2018 NHL Referee’s Combine, getting a chance to analyze and work with the top hockey athletes in the world.
Currently, Eric holds certifications with the NSCA (CSCS), NASM (PES, CES), and FRC (FRCms). He uses these certifications to deliver the most optimized and personalized programs for all aspects of physical fitness and athletic performance.
Eric earned his master’s degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Performance Enhancement, Injury Prevention & Rehabilitation Science from the California University of Pennsylvania.
